EXHIBITION INFORMATION
Oracles are two new site-specific sculptures by multi-media artist Judith Sturdevant exploring an aesthetic subset of historical links between fantasy, ancient cultures and new technologies. Tracing a lineage from the delirium of ancient mythology and the development of the female icon as both a Seer and Vessel, Oracles evokes themes of glamour, prophecy, hypnotic states and the presence of the mythical female figure within the charged environment of a fashion-house window while using modern methods and materials. The works are on display in the storefront of designer Adam Arnold's fashion showroom through the month June.
