We are thrilled to announce Pacific Northwest College of Art’s 2023 MFA Thesis Exhibition!

Spanning three locations across downtown Portland, the 2023 MFA Thesis Exhibition will be on view from May 4 through May 21. We invite you to join us for an Exhibition Opening Reception on First Thursday May 4 from 5pm-8pm.

The works on display showcase a multitude of media, from sculpture to photography, painting to printmaking, design to social practice. Through their works, each artist and designer reveals their unique perspective and creative voice, illuminating their growth and maturation over the course of their MFA program.

This exhibition is a testament to the rigorous intellectual and creative inquiry that our graduates have undertaken, exploring the fundamental questions that underlie our current cultural moment. As we engage with this exhibition, we are invited to consider the evolving nature of contemporary art and design, and the critical role these graduates will play in shaping its trajectory. Through their individualized creative practices, they challenge us to explore new ideas, aesthetics, socialities, and environments, and to feel more deeply.
