My People’s Market presented by Prosper Portland. My People’s Market is back in person for the seventh time, celebrating and honoring all that was lost and all that was born during the pandemic. As BIPOC businesses were among those hardest hit during the pandemic. After over a year, we can finally connect with BIPOC entrepreneurs, makers, artists, culinary wizards, and beverage crafters, and experience the sounds of local Portland artists and performers, curated by YGB. My People’s Market returns August 6, 7, and 8 on the North Park Blocks in downtown Portland.
The three-day event, sponsored by New Seasons and Portland State School of Business, aims to carry on the mission of My People’s Market, which is a marketplace that centers communities of color in a celebration of business, arts, and culture by prioritizing the well-being and comfort of people of color; providing space and resources for new and existing businesses to grow and reach new markets; and honoring local artists and performers for the vibrancy and joy they bring to space and place.
