Maria Antelman, Self Circuits⁣

  • Melanie Flood Projects 420 Southwest Washington Street #301 Portland, OR, 97204 United States (map)

Self Circuits is a series of sculptural photographic works representing transformative, almost mythological⁣ experiences. These are binary unions of biological systems, as opposed to cyborgian bodies. Self Circuits⁣ are naturally instinctive and exist in the wild. It is in the wilderness, where our instinct lives, where we connect to⁣ our animal nature. Technology understands the grammar of our language and the syntax of our thinking but still⁣ cannot predict our instinct.⁣
