Reception: December 9th, 12-3pm
On view by appointment @hideandseekgallery / benskiba@gmail.com
Hide & Seek is opening their doors for their first show with the work of Seattle based artist, Luke Armitstead. Working in ceramic, concrete, and plants, Armitstead has been building a human scale planter - as the show title suggests - for his garden. Often such understated components of life are the things we make for ourselves, and yet, these objects tend to have a lasting impact as they become the background music to our daily lives. Setting out with the intention of creating a special piece for his beloved outdoor garden space, we get the chance to see a sculpture of love and specific utility before returning to its intended home.
