This exhibition will feature new works by May Maylisa Cat, Curtis Reid Henderson, Christina Kemp, Cristina Niculescu, and Lynne Yarne. GLEAN is a juried art program that taps into the creativity of artists to inspire people to think about their consumption habits, the waste they generate, and the resources they throw away. In light of the global crisis, the 2020 GLEAN program shifted to be adaptive to the times and further prioritizing the safety of our artists. This year, artists gleaned-in-place, working with materials that they had in hand to create the work for this exhibition.
So much of the GLEAN program is about working through unique and unexpected challenges, making this year’s exhibition all the more poignant to the times. Whether you come to the socially distant opening or pop in during the gallery hours, we look forward to sharing this work with you!
