Doug Anderson, Shelly Fredenberg, and Nancy Helmsworth are exhibiting work with the theme of water.

Gallery 114 member, Nancy Helmsworth will exhibit her paintings inspired by Balch Creek (in Forest Park) and tell about her subsequent understanding and creek renaming efforts that emerged after reading the disturbing history of the area.

Guest Artists Doug Anderson and Shelly Fredenberg are also featured. Anderson creates finely assembled mixed-media drawings inspired by his visits to the swash zone of the Oregon Coast. Fredenberg an award-winning potter from Eugene is sharing her ceramic vessels inspired by the delicate creatures found at low tide and her earthy, dramatic wood-fired forms.

ART Talk + Donuts - November 11, 11:30 am - Helmsworth will explain the renaming process and what led her to this social practice effort. Anderson - will share insights into his inspiration and processes.
