The baby arrived and with her a flood of frenzied feelings and now the floor is littered with colorful bits and bops and furry whatzits with stripes and spots. Dirty diapers and orphaned socks join the procession of sleepless nights and rainbow blocks. Your thoughts are scattered and your favorite mug shattered but it’s warm and strange and every day is new, so you peer across the vast mass of mess and prepare yourself for another round and hang on by your fingernails to make it through.
