Ground bloomers are both flowers and explosives.
Petal forms collect mold and a bird appears drenched in its own poop.
Organic matter surfaces from the city goo in hopes of it bringing us back to ourselves
(or at least saying that might make us feel better).
A love/hate relationship – infrastructure is both a motivation and a bane.
The uniformed men who pretend to protect it are met with only the necessary barriers –
a vessel, a guard dog, a bucking work horse.
And the infrastructure remains but it’s crumbling.
We want it to melt away, to be re-wilded, built back up on our own terms.
It’s just sludge now and it’s simmering on the stove.
It’s not quite ready, but almost.
