High Low Art Space is pleased to present Kevin Smith: Paintings, the artist’s first solo exhibition in Portland, Oregon. Paintings consists of representational art about covid lockdown, street protests, solo parenting, cannabis, technology, materialism, Pokemon, Prince, and other themes. An opening reception is scheduled for November 4th from 6:00 – 9:00pm and the the exhibition will be on display through December 30th.
All work is for sale with 20% of the proceeds being donated to Sunnyside Environmental School. Flexible payment options are available and all attendees will receive a free NFT on the Ethereum blockchain. Paintings is supported in part by the Regional Arts and Culture Council.
Kevin Smith is an artist and writer in Portland, Oregon. He holds a BA in Studio Art from the University of Arkansas and an MA in Critical Theory + Creative Research from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. He has experience crafting pigments and oil colors using 14th-century Italian workshop methods and uses 21st-century blockchain technology to bring his work to a global audience.
Founded by sculptor Jim Gion, High Low Art Space is an artist run space in SE Portland featuring life drawing, art classes, gallery shows and more. They are dedicated to giving local artists a place to learn, share, and discuss art.
