For the Seventh Generation
Over 100 artists including Abby Lazerow, Jennie McDade, Daniela Molnar, and Erik Sandgren
September 6, 2018-November 15, 2018
Opening reception: First Thursday, September 6, 2018, from 5-8 PM
The Elisabeth Jones Art Center will be exhibiting over one hundred panels from the Seventh Generation project.
One-third of the money from the sale of the panels will go to an environmental group of the artist's choosing.
Our coastline is a national treasure, equal in richness to any national park, but it is continually under threat. For this reason, 1,320 artists are joining to create For the Seventh Generation, a free-standing, mile-long painting dedicated to ocean protection. When the panomural is complete, every mile of the California, Oregon, and Washington coastline will be represented by an artist who has created a four-foot section of the total mural.
New panels from 2018 will be exhibited alongside selected panels created between 1996 to 2002. The Elisabeth Jones Art Center will present newly created "For the Seventh Generation" panels, annually.
