The image above is called We Are Roadrunners. During my journey down to the borderlands of Texas, I was told that migrants identify with the roadrunner - as they are fleeing their countries, always running and fearful of coyotes harming or exploiting them. The roadrunner is prevalent around the Texas/Mexico border. Their footprints are X-shaped and it is hard to tell if they are headed one way or another.
There will be an opportunity to donate to humanitarian aid organizations doing important work on the Texas border during the opening of BORDERLAND STORIES. In addition, 25% of any sales will go toward these non-profits - South Texas Human Rights Center, Sacred Heart Respite Center, and Border Network for Human Rights.
