mood II
The second installment of our new series, a mood, is with artist Alyson Provax.
In this feature, we've invited artists to share images, either of their own or from others that inspire them, on our blog and Instagram. A short piece of writing; a description of the mood board, a poem, or other writing may be included by the artist, as well as a music playlist or other aspects of ephemera related to the artist’s vision.
Here we are: all alone, feeling everything together, like islands. This collection goes well with sitting near a window and noticing your breath.

Alyson Provax was born in Aptos, California in 1984 and lives and works in Portland, Oregon. Letterpress and text is at the center of her practice, which extends into publications, public projects, objects, and animations. She has shown regionally at Wolff Gallery, The Vestibule, Carnation Contemporary, Upfor, LxWxH/Bridge Productions, Linfield Gallery, SPAC Gallery, and Archer Gallery, nationally at A.I.R. Gallery, The Untitled Space, and Youme Haus in New York and Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, and internationally at the Blueproject Foundation in Barcelona.
